Budget (including currency): ~200eur CPU, 90-130 motherboard

Country: Estonia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming at 1080p 60fps, maybe future 1080p 120hz, occasional multitasking

So, I need some advice about what would be a sensible move here... Coming from a 4690k, I'm not completely sure what would be the sensible choice in upgrade.
As this is a budget-ish build, I've noticed that I have quite a few options -

Going with AM4, the Ryzen 5 5600 (not G or X)

Or, with 12400f from intel.

The differences here are, 5600 is 170-190eur here and the 12400f is currently ~210eur. I know AM4 is a "dead platform" from now on basically, but I'm not that concerned with extreme futureproofing to the point that I NEED the 1700 chipset. I also considered perhaps 11th gen intel, but is that worth? The 11400f is currently 170eur here, and I could either get that or go with ryzen 5 5600. I'd be saving perhaps 20-30eur when considering motherboard costs from what I've seen.

So in the end, is it worth considering 11th (MAYBE even 10th gen intel) or just go with zen 3? I might be overthinking though, as the performance gaps for my intended purpose shouldn't matter that much.

And on the motherboard end, any recommendations for my budget range stated above? For ryzen, I did find the gigabyte b550m aorus elite (120eur), is there a better value in my range? Should I get a b450 chipset instead?

Sorry if this is a bit chaotic, but I've stayed out of the loop for a while and the market has changed a lot since I last kept up to date 🙂

Rememder that when upgrading to these platforms you will also need DDR4 RAM memory, which further increases the cost.

What graphics card are you using?

Yeah, I'm aware of DDR4, I've already decided on the RAM so it's not a big factor. I'm currently going to continue using my gtx 970. Then I'll sell my old cpu+mobo+ram (after upgrading), after which I'll dig around in the used market for either a 6600 and up, or a used 3060. New gpu prices are sadly too high here still...
