Help?!

I went on my computer today and noticed a red cross over the sound icon ,and my speakers won't work (no they're not muted). When i go to my audio devices the speakers don't show up, and my drivers say they are up to date. I tested my speakers and they work. I am using the on-board audio on the gigabyte g1 sniper m5

True your front ports and make sure the drivers are there... did you update windows?

A prompt to update to 8.1 came up and i clicked it but it said i couldn't update

and i tried front ports, and nothing worked

I used to have the same problem... give me a second I try to figure out what I did to fix it..

It means there are no available audio devices. Go into your playback tab in sound properties, and just enable and set to standard, the one you use for your speakers or something.

That happens to me sometimes and restarting fixes the problem.
