Budget (including currency): 1000 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Anno 1800, Ark 1 & 2, Starfield, coding, and VR from time to time

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I use 2 monitors at 2560x1440p at a maximum of 144hz, Windows 10, upgrading to Windows in a year, picture below (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7fZYW4)

I got this build back in 2019. I am looking to see If I should get a Nvidia 30 series card since they are cheaper then ever or wait for the reviews of the 40 series and either a 12th or 13th generation Intel CPU (i9 or i7)? I have been unable to overclock or have XMP on my memory because of software problems that I will be fixing soonish.

Should I upgrade to a 30 series card now or wait to upgrade in a year?

Your PC is still plenty capable for 1440p, I'd wait for next year‘ for mid cycle releases such as the Ti versions.

Or wait for RX 7000 series release, Nvidia is not the only top player anymore.

Occassionaly visits the forum when I have nothing to do at work.
