1. Budget & Location

Hello there I have a budget of £1200 left to get monitors and some other peripherals but this is more about the monitors.

Location is The UK

disclaimer - I’ll be using a 3080 Ti. Can it be used to run both monitors?

2. Aim

I am wanting one monitor to to focus on gaming and general use like Adobe and rendering, so multi purpose, ideally 1440p if possible, 27inch

and the second monitor i ideally want a ultra wide which would go above the main monitor and will be attached to the wall, that would be used for referencing while working on the main screen, maybe watch some videos etc

similar layout to tech source - image added for reference

3. Monitors

2 for now, will want a 3rd which would be vertical on my left hand side to read emails and written based work, pdfs etc

4. Peripherals

What ever I have left I’ll use to buy mouse and keyboard

5. Why are you upgrading?

N/A - as far as I know

Thankyou in advance 🙂

1) Yes, you can run all of your stuff smoothly on a 3080ti with multiple monitors (since I already do it with an 3070)

2) Sadly I can't help you with the monitors since I use 2 basic 75hz monitors and have a vague idea about the market.

That’s good to hear, Thankyou. Yeah I’m not too clued up either, normally I wouldn’t care but I thought why not and hopefully can work from home more often

I have 3 monitors and I'd recommend any of them.

2 x 27" QHD(1440p) @144hz 27GN800-B and 27GL850-B. Both are almost the same in my use cases, quick IPS 1440p panels. They're pretty color accurate out of the box compared to my 5K "apple" LG monitor. I ran them both on a 2070 SUPER and have no issues. For games I only use one.

As far as the widescreen, I have no suggestions as I don't own one. I did go with a LG Dual Up though. It's equivalent to 2 1440p monitors at like 21", but it is 28" itself and very tall. I love it. Great for productivity but it's slower at 60hz, but the colors are just as great. It's better than making a 16:9 sideways in my book 🙂
