Hi I have just upgraded my motherboard and when I pressed the power button, the fans spin the lights turn on but then the ezdbug light says that there is a problem with my cpu, the led turns white for cpu and then when I tried swapping out my cpu for an older one(I had one lying around), it said the same thing, plz advise what to do. I checked for bent pins already but nothing still shows up and I also tried reseating it but still didn't work. However the cpu is warming up which I feel is a good sign. Again Plz advise what to do.

Ryzen or intel?  If ryzen put your original known good that worked cpu in and update the bios then try it again.  I don’t know if the mortar can update bios without a cpu or not.  If that is possible it is also an option.  The specifics of this update and the old and new specs of the machine are likely to matter

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

But I updated the motherboard too

So I assumed.  In the case of ryzen stuff, Just because a motherboard is new doesn’t mean it has the newest bios.  Still need specs.  I have no idea what this machine even is.  All I know is there is a mortar titanium.  It could be b450, it could be b360. Neither design is strictly speaking new, though the part apparently is.

So Basically, I am running a 3200g and an A320m but then I upgraded it to the B450 mortar titanium and the 5500, I tried clearing cmos and then putting the 3200g in the B450 but it still didn't work.

Ok.  Thanks. You may still have a bios that is too old for the 3200g.  That board has a cpu bios reflash system though.  Do you have a USB key?  B450 mortar is really old. It could be it’s got like a 5 year old bios on it.  It may also be that the board is just bad though. If you put a current bios on it and it still doesn’t work you may have to return the part.
