Running a mining gpu through a regular GPU.

Hello, I have a question regarding mining GPUs.
(refering to this video)it is possible to use a mining gpu for games, as long as the cpu has a built in  iGPU. I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600, and therefore do not have an iGPU, but could I theoretically run a G106-100 through a Rx550 (the card I'm currently running in my rig)?

 

I'm planning to get that gpu, because I can't afford a actual one.
