Swapping Motherboards

Go to solution Solved by RONOTHAN##,

Yeah that's fine, you might have issues with network drivers or something along those lines, but 97% of the time it'll just work without problems.

Good Afternoon all!

As the title suggests, I am looking to swap in a new MOBO to my computer, currently running a Tomahawk B-350 with an Ryzen 3600 and want to know if I could just swap in a Asrock B-550M Steel Legend without having to reinstall windows. I'm hoping for a sort of plug and play scenario as I don't have the capacity to back-up my current main drive. Thank you for your assistance!

Thank you for the quick response! This is fantastic to know, once I get the new MOBO installed, I have an extra M.2 drive that can be installed as well that will take in all the data I want saved, once I get the data moved over then I will actually have the ability to reinstall windows. The B-350 only has one M.2 drive slot while the B-550 has 2. Yet again, thank you for the response and assistance.
