Plex Storage

I need a new drive to store my expanding Plex library. While I know i should have a local backup a lot of what I have can be 'recovered' online so my only backup for these files is an online service.

Given that there there will only ever be a few people trying to read from the drive and that rewrites will be limited, is there any point in getting anything other than a WD blue or equivalent?
