Computer built but did not start up

I built my first ever PC and I got everything in place and went to turn it on and it didn’t start up. It isn’t a power supply problem because some parts light up such as the either net slot and the front light. I’m not sure what is going wrong.

What specs do you have? 

 

Does the motherboard display an error message? This can be a little hexadecimal display like in this picture? If this display is not present on your board there are often a few (3 most often) small LEDs. What these mean can be read about in the manual and will tell you what process did fail. 

 

I would remove everything except one ram stick, the CPU (with cooler) and PSU and try to boot the system.

Specs would be nice. But from the sound of it, might be motherboard not working or cpu. Try reseating the cpu and or cheacking pins. Does cpu fan spin and if so does it go to full speed?

It just turned on but now I’m not seeing anything on my monitors at all but the fan and the 3070ti both have their rgb going. And the cpu cooler is running

is the cpu fan really loud though, if its your cpu, then the cpu fan would be going full speed. If its the motherboard. We will have to find that out. You could also take out all memory and try one slot at a time.

does that fan get hot, Don't know what cooler you have, but if you leave it for a min, does that fan/raditor produce any heat. If so, then the cpu is getting power. But if it doesn't get hot at all or anything, then its not working or not getting power. Could we have a spec list.

The fan doesn’t get too hot but it did get warmer after a bit of running

That's good it gets hot, take one memory stick out and then go one by one checking memory channels
