Hi,

I´m looking for a GPU that I can put in my NAS. So far I got an i3 9100f, a Asus Motherboard ITX (don´t know what exactly...h310 I guess), 300W BeQuiet powersupply and 8Gb RAM.

The problem is the missing internal GPU to run the system so I´m looking for a reliable and power efficent GPU. Does anyone has a recommendation for it I thought about an GT 710/730 used, but mayby one of you guys have any better solution.

My NAS don´t has any graphic work to do so card just to get to the desktop should be enough.

Thanks

Mayby I could change with someone with integrated graphics, but I´m not sure if it is worth

Currently you have a CPU and are considering paying for a GPU for display output.

I don't know the local market prices, but if a GPU is greater than the cost of a new CPU minus selling the old one, I'd go with that.

This is also an opportunity to potentially upgrade the CPU which will benefit your workload more than an idle GPU.  a i3 9300 with iGPU perhaps?

You´re totally right with that. And in the case of power consumption it´ll be much more reliable with only integrated graphics. I don´t think an upgrade would change my workload dramatacly, cause there is not much differrence between them, but in the long run (for example after a year) I could safe more than 100€ on my energy bills which is a reasonable benefit as well.

So I guess I´ll try it that way. Thanks
