Im trying to OC my gpu amd r7 260x, (NOTE: this is my first time overclocking a gpu). And when I change any settings my gpu temp does not go up at all, which would tell me that I can increase them but it still scares me that it somehow does not show the correct temp.

did you use a stress test to make sure it won't crash?

Just did a test and the results before the OC were around 6800, now they are 7500, I'd say that is pretty good I guess? here is the ss of the result after the OC, the only problem I have is the fan is a lil louder but I can turn off the overclock whenever I want if I got that correctly. image.png.7e8956a7a431b22822982a70580ee5a9.png

I used 720p low on both tests since my gpu is only 1GB, yikes

Great job, especially considering this is your first time OCing, seems you did really well.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you gonna be doing on this GPU?

My legendary budget setup:

  • Audio: LG Type-C Earphones
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-5500U
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce 840M + Intel IGPU
  • RAM: 8Gb Hynix 1600MHz RAM DDR3
  • HDD: 1TB 5400RPM 2.5"
  • Keyboard: HP KU0316
  • And yes, its the HP Pavilion 15-p220na

I had some FPS drops in league of legends so that is the main reason why I overclocked it! And now I just played a game and I had 0 fps problems or laggs which is really cool considering  Idid not have to upgrade my GPU!
