Hi guys, I'm trying to install Ubunto on a second partition on my desktop, but EVERY time I get to the user creation screen, it freezes. I've tried re-downloading and installing to the USB (Using Pendrivelinux) multiple times. Any help is appreciated.

What version of Linux are you doing? (Not distribution but version, such as 12.10 or 13.11

And are you using an NVidia GPU? Linux doesn't like NVidia for some reason

My current build - Ever Changing.

Number 1 On LTT LGA 1150 CPU Cinebench R15

Do you have integrated graphics, if you do unplug your GPU while installing or try to install a older version of Ubuntu

Nope, I'm on X79. I think I might give up on Linux for a bit, I almost wrecked my Windows install..

I've only ever used Nvidia cards with linux and it's always been fine! Yes, I know there's the whole 'proprietary binary blob' thing and all that, but I've always found that the official Nvidia linux drivers work fine
