Lenovo Legion T7 Fan speed

leclod

Anybody knows a way to lower the fans speeds on such a desktop ?

I didn't notice any difference when switching to Silent Mode in Vantage. It isn't silent.

I bought one for a friend.

(If it was mine I'd disconnect some fans 🙂 )

I'm willing to swim against the current.

There is a topic on this forum about FanControl, you can take a look at this. Are the fans always loud, even in idle or only in games? If they're just loud in games, lowering the RPM will just result in higher temperatures

I'm talking about idle noise.

I've searched a little online, it seems the fan speeds are locked.

I just searched here and didn't find anything about Lenovo Legion desktops

That's interesting. Never Heard of that. Is there no option in the BIOS that would allow the fans to be controlled? (like setting their mode to PWM instead of DC)

It's not mine, I've just checked once, very fast.

I tried the Lenovo software Vantage and rebooted.

But I didn't see any way to get in the bios. I did press Del with no effect.

The key (literally) to the BIOS is different with each MB manufacturer. What you can do that gets you into the BIOS of all MBs is holding shift while clicking on restart in Windows. Then, you'll be thrown into the startup repair window. Go to repair - advanced settings - boot to UEFI and hit restart. Then you'll boot into the BIOS
