Ok so last year I called Microsoft about merging my 2 account so I could have all my games in one place. I was told to make an alias email on the account I wanted to move and make it the primary email for the account and then delete the the old email. Then login to the account I wanted to have the old email on and add it as an alias email. I did all this to find out that this made the email I deleted no longer accessible and wasn't able to add it to the other account. But not only that I was I am unable to add it back to the first account with over a year trying to talk to Microsoft support I called them again and was told "we understand that you where told to do this but you should have known that by clicking ok that you would lose access to the email and that there is no way for us to give it back to you". So I have lost access to Minecraft and all my blizzard stuff and a bunch of other things. 

This is so maddening they can see my old email and when I try to make a new one with the same name I get a message "Someone already has this email address. Try another name or claim one of these that's available" I AM THAT SOMEONE! why can't they give it back? Microsoft can go pound sand 

PS. I am so pissed off I could cry

No numbers attached to the original email, other emails attached... anything?

Might be able to trick it if you have extra info, but it sounds like it will have been wiped. If they have any of your stuff it would be stored on the cloud or something for however long they have to secure it, and your email name will exist as long as that too. You should be able to request details of what they have stored but it won’t be physical data in the sense that you can use it anymore. It’s just to show you that they secured it.

don't think they have retention more than 90 if that much.. maybe 30.. 

but the games and content are probably locked to the account ID..

Ah yes sorry my bad. In that case wouldn’t contacting the games companies with as much info as possible be a more likely means to an ends?
