Hyperx cloud 2 mic not working

I recently got a hyperx headset and i plugged everything in and it works fine until i got to the part of using the mic, i cant get it to hear me, it says its connected to my pc and when i open something like discord it shows as that i'm using it but no sound is coming off, i looked up some youtube vids and updated drivers on it and still cant get it to work pls help
