Computer is doing funny things whelp.

I have a couple of year old gaming laptop which I haven't used for about 6 months. I've turned it on and obviously found several updates that need installing yada yada yada. I've attempted to carry out said updates to no avail, keep getting error messages. Any applications I try to open either crash the computer to blue screen, or open up and refuse to load anything. Tried to carry out a factory reset both locally and via the cloud and neither have been successful. At this point is it worth creating a boot USB and going that avenue and going from there or is this a lost cause? Cheers for any help guys

Seems like your windows got corrupted somehow. A simple reinstall will most likely fix all of it and also spare you the pain of trying to fix windows.

nah it looks like you have serious windows issues I recommend to create a boot usb drive with a fresh copy of windows 10 and reinstall windows on that laptop .

Question is your OS on a SSD ?

It is on an SSD as far as I'm aware. I'll run out and grab an USB and create a fresh install then it seems. Was trying to avoid the drive to a major town but no biggie. I'll give it a try and update once done guys. Thanks a bunch

Back again lads, got a question as im really not that this deep with tech. Don't know what to do here
