So I recently bought a used hyper 212 rgb black edition (because im poor 😂), but it was missing the back mounting bracket. I was wanting to know if it would mount to my base Amd cooler bracket? And if that would be a viable solution. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Do you have intel or amd cpu? looking at the manual for the Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition manual for amd you just need standoffs.

MANUAL: https://coolermaster.egnyte.com/dl/PYtOaf3NPO

Doesn't page 10 here show that it needs the backplate?

Just noticed that! Does look like you will need a backplate for both AMD and Intel.
Hey OP did you buy it directly from Cooler Master? (Just have them send you a new one)
orrrr did you buy if second hand? (contact seller and notify them of crucial missing part)

So I bought it used because I had no money and seller said he didn't have it. Is there anyway I could buy it then? I tried contacting cooler master but never got anywhere.

Are you comfortable asking the seller for a refund, due to the fact its the most important piece you need.

When I had purchased my Thermaltake AIO liquid cooler I believe it didn't come with a AM4 mounting bracket and I had to drive all the way to Micro Center to get one.

ANSWER: Yes you need it
