Gigabyte z690 motherboards have had memory issues reported.

The build is missing a case and PSU.

Why an HDD? Given the budget, why not a second 2TB NVMe drive

You might want to fix the OP ddr6 typo. It should read DDR5.

Not a fan of the cpu cooler unless a bling overload is desired.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Thanks for telling me about the typo, I edited the parts list to include the psu that someone recommended and another nvme. Do you have any recommendations for a better/more reliable motherboard?

I think it would better to stick with DDR4 unless you have a specific use case that needs high speed RAM. We're probably 1-2 years out before DDR5 makes sense for most people.

Titanium PSU is unnecessary, but eh you have the budget.

You might consider the MSI Z690 Tomahawk.

Hi Blu

Just out of curiosity... will you not need to be signed up in order to get access to the EVGA Kingpin 3090 GPU?
I've had good experience with Asus 3090 Strix, if you would be considering alternatives down the road.

I concur with the others, suggesting going with a DDR4 MoBo, but if you insist, the choice of RAM looks OK, to me.
DDR4 -> MSI PRO
DDR5 -> I'm biased, as I like Gigabyte, but i guess there are cheaper and equally/better performing alternatives. Just completed some silly builds with Giga Xtreme MoBo's, as i could not get a hold of the Giga Aero D.

As for CPU cooler, I've had really good experience with Arctic Freezer II 420mm in push/pull config, paired with the 12900K. Just remember to get the LGA1700 kit, if not included. If you are totally into an "Extreme Glitter-Bling-Box of Doom", then stick to the Corsair, and switch the fans on the Kingpin, as well.

Case... I've been a bit of a Phanteks "Phan"-boy, as they have good quality and intuitive design(while building), so a P500A could be an alternative to the suggested Cor 5000D.

Good luck with you build! 🙂

BR. DD
