Help wireless broadband

Bobolini

Hi helpful people.

My questions are: Is there a limit of cable length between a wireless broadband antenna (4G/5G) and where you can place the POE Injector ? And will a cat 6 network cable do the job?

I assume you mean a wireless broadband router or modem, given its PoE.  In which case its only limited by the length of ethernet cable, 100m max, possibly a little less as there may be losses from the injector.  That would include the length both before and after the injector combined though.

CAT 6 would be fine, but if any part of it is outdoors it needs to be outdoor rated so that sun and weather doesn't degrade the cable.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7
