Hello all,

A frustrating journey I have started myself on here, I was getting sick of just digging into this constantly and trying multiple headsets... I wanted to see if anyone online had a better option! Currently I have the Arctic Pro Wireless WITHOUT the DAC, as I am using it on PC. I like the headset, other than the clamping force it has on my head. To be clear when it came out of the box I was actually pretty ticked off, Finding that audio quality and the comfort of the headset was both pretty abysmal for me. Compared to my old Corsair Voids, They had a pathetic volume level, Terrible overall audio quality, and had my ears touching the drivers, Which as NOT good. After getting Peace EQ running and adjusted, as well as some new earpads Its actually not bad. the clamping force is still an issue, but it is livable...  I do love the option to have Wireless AND Bluetooth running for my phone if I am on the go or to keep it on my PC at my house. I love the flexibility of it. As well as the swappable batteries that are constantly charging one on the base station. The main issue I had with my Voids was that the batteries just kept getting worse and worse and worse every time I replace them and now it just turns off despite still having charge... So I do love the aspect of fast and easy swaps. I already had tried the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro and found the Mic was sadly just not up to par, and a constant static in the driver as well as pretty quite sound overall had me return it after only a few days. And after looking all over I just started feeling frustrated and didn't want to ship more in and return them over and over...

I'm hoping to keep something with wireless and Bluetooth still. As well as something that has a decent Mic, Nothing over the top but good. And something that has a decent sound quality and volume level. I use this for gaming and work so the Mic and audio quality go hand in hand for me. I also tend to listen to a ton of music on these, Which I know is not normal. Hence my concern of audio quality.

I did want to note that since I had used Corsair I was going to aim for trying the Virtuoso next, But my main concern was the earpads, I heard they are exceptionally shallow and your ears are prone to hitting the drivers, Which bugs the hell outta me...

Hoping you all have some good headsets and can point me in a good direction!

You’re not gonna get good audio quality for a “gaming” headset. Maybe look at getting a solid pair of Bluetooth headphones and a separate mic maybe

I understand that. I'm not an audiophile, Just something that isn't going to be completely flat. That is my final consideration, I was planning to look into some other headsets that can hopefully use the same wireless and Bluetooth connection setup that the Arctis Pro Wireless and Virtuoso have.

Have you been connecting the Arctis pro via Bluetooth on your PC

I have not, no. I messed with the EQ on its base station a bit and the fine tuning felt pretty crummy. Another frustration is they were exceptionally quiet. Like max volume on PC and base station, and volume limiter off, Still too quiet. And I didn't want to leave the volume limiter off as well because it caused a static noise in the drivers... So I ended up opting for just having more pre amp on it in my EQ.

Again, I don't want to make a deal out of trying to rectify the Arctis, I just wanted to see what others were using! I thank you for the help in trying to resolve some of my issues with it however!

There is a good chance I am just being overly picky and stubborn with sticking with gaming headsets, But I want to put off the need for a Full scale mic for as long as I can lol

Would be nice if there was a single product to do it all, but we're not there yet. The gaming headset industry and the portable bluetooth industry are slowly converging on the same point from different directions. It's just a matter of time before someone cracks the engineering hurdles.

Personally I just use open back headphones and a mod mic tbh I moved away from gaming headphones a while ago but they’re wired
