Need help guys

pashley_97

I was doing some driver updates yesterday on a trusted website “bit driver updater” as soon as I updated everything (5 things) I uninstalled the app, as soon as I did this my pc started being reallllllly laggy, even in normal use, I check task manager and my 1tb m.2 isn’t showing up, it’s not showing in device or disk management either but does actually show up in my BIOS. I just don’t know how to fix it and if it’s fixable!!

my build

Mobo: Msi x570 prestige creation

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x (water cooled)

GPU: aorus 1070ti 8gb

RAM: 32gb 3600mhz Corsair vengeance rgb pro

PSU: EVGA 850 bronze

Storage:500gb HDD, 500gb SSD, 1tb nvme m.2

Do you have a system restore point? If not I think you could reinstall Windows without losing stuff somewhere in settings.

This is one of the reasons I would never recommend driver update tools.

I’ll try a fresh install of windows today, i realised after going on disk management that you can just update them on there, I’ll do a fresh install and will come back! Thank you

@PixelfieI’ve just done a full reinstall and reset and still no change mate, I’ve took a picture of my storage in BIOS and it’s still showing

I don't know what it is then, it must be something in the firmware or actually somehow the SSD died, which is weird when that program only updates drivers...
