I recently got the steelseries 9H headset. My first pair did not work (no sound, most of my devices did not pick it up) And then I RMA'd it.  overall that was pretty painless, after forking over ~$25 for the shipping back I got my new pair, which also do not work at all. I have changed the volume wheel, tried multiple different connectors. My phone does register that a headset was plugged in, however it still wont work. Does anyone have any ideas before I need to pay about 25 to send it back....

Edit: Just to be clear, my devices to register something getting plugged in (they stop outputting sound from the speakers) it is just that the headset itself makes no sound.

I can't believe both are defective... I have this headset and it's working fine, but I'm only using it with my PC.

Does it work with you pc? If it does you have the wrong connector for your other devices or something.

edit: Well just tried it on my phone (old Huawei) and it works fine...

Sorry to take so long to respond, it actually registered on my PC and started a firmware update, however even after the update it is not working...

Ok so you are using the usb DAC... Have you checked if it's set as your playback device? Right click windows audio icon and select "Playback devices" or type "manage audio devices" in windows start menu search.

Select the correct device and click "Set Default".

Though I think the device should be set as the default device when you plug it in the usb port. You can still try a different port...

Another option is to change the usb head to the 3.5 mm jack (the one that is split to mic and audio, audio jack has green stripes) and plug that in the audio port in your pc... If it still doesn't work then it must be dead, such a bad luck :(

No good, I have tried every port on my Mac, Windows, and Android Phone (with every connector combination), I just posted a new ticket on the website, hopefully they can do something for me. Anyway, thank you for your help!

I am on mac, windows, and have a phone, so I was switching out a bunch of times, after switching from windows to mac it started to work, and now it works on everything. (Maybe it had something to do with the update I installed and it just required a reboot to work or something)
