Gpu Downclocked it's self

Mu-To

Hi everyone, my name is Muto and I'am the big fan of linus and new to this forum. nearly 1 month ago my gpu (msi gtx 970 gaming 4g ) memory downclocked to 3005mhz from 3505(base clock). I tried to set to back 3505 with nvidia inspector, but after restart it goes back to 3005. when i clean install the driver it works at 3505, like nvidia inspector after restart it goes back to 3005. also I checked it on windows startup. when windwos starts after 5-7 seconds it downlockes itself. 4-5 month ago I tried it overclock to 4005 mhz and it was working well, then I reset the factory setting, used oc for 20-30 min. I wonder now if my gpu is dying?

thanks for help

Is the down clocking happening under heavy load as well (e.g. when running games) or only when the GPU is idling? There are power conservation features reducing memory and GPU clock depending on the load, I have this very same behaviour on my Nvidia GPU.

DDU, fresh driver install, uninstall Nvidia Inspector and report back.

If you want to monitor/change things, use MSI Afterburner.
