I’ve had my pc since September. The other day while gaming my pc froze up and audio switched from headset to monitor, it was not responding to any key clicks. I restarted my pc and my keyboard and mouse would not turn on. I switched keyboard and mouse and they wouldn’t work either has anyone ever had this problem and know how to fix?

This kinda sounds like a dead USB port/controller. Did you try moving the KB&M to all other ports and seeing if they start working on there instead, including the front panel? Also see if plugging a USB drive gets it to show up.

Are the KB&M working in BIOS (if you're unable to get into BIOS, the answer is probably no)?

Also, since it might (probably will) be relevant, what are the specs? Most importantly, motherboard, USB add in card (if there are any), keyboard model(s), and mouse model(s), though CPU, RAM, drives, etc. are also useful.

I checked all ports they work, as for keyboard and mouse I have the steelseries apex 5 keyboard and the mouse is steelseries rival 5, I switched them through the ports it doesn’t work I tried another keyboard and that wouldn’t work either. mother board is a prime b550-plus and processor is a ryzen 7 5800x.

OK, still see if you can try to get into BIOS with one of those keyboards. I just wanna make sure that it isn't a bug in Windows.

Try doing a Clear CMOS to see if that fixes it. That can sometimes fix really weird issues like what's going on here. Outside of that, I'd probably contact ASUS and see if they have any ideas.
