Hasu Converter Issues

Hi guys,

I've been trying to follow Taran's Hasu Converter video but the hex file doesn't seem to be working. I tried flashing a default firmware which worked so that means it doesn't look like the hasu converter and keyboard are the issues. Typing on the external keyboard after following his steps doesn't send keystrokes to notepad and doesn't trigger the autohotkey script when the script is running.

Any idea on what I could try?
