Anyone up to speed with non-gaming Laptops? I need a productivity machine for work.

Looking to purchase a new laptop for work, no need for anything gaming related. I desire a very good processor, at least 16GB RAM, and preferably at least 1TB of Storage. I don't care about how much it weighs, I'm not particularly concerned with the size of the screen, and I consider the battery life to be relevant in-so-far as a tie-breaker. I require a full standard suite of inputs/outputs.

I currently have my eyes on a Dell Inspiron 15 5510 for ~$1100USD (i7-11390H) or ~$1500USD (Ryzen 7 5700U). Which seems to fit a good whack of those requirements, but I'm a little reluctant to go Dell.

With so many options and no great way that I know of to directly compare all the options in one place I'm struggling to make a justified decision.

$1500 USD is my absolute limit, I'd be much happier in the $1000 USD range.

Thank you greatly in advance.

I have used and liked Lenovo laptops in the past, and I have colleagues that still swear by them. Here are some reasonable examples of what you might want in your price range.

Thanks, Lenovo is a good call, although both of those machine in particular swing a bit away from the raw number crunching power - no other frills - kind of laptop I'm looking for 🙂
