Hello! I just got a computer and as it arrived, I turned my pc on, *Jet mode engaged* There was a really horrible noise coming from the pc, then I did a case transplant by myself, ( Super fun if you know what you are doing/ have researched a BUNCH ) I turn it on, quiet. Then, out of literally nowhere, when I put any sort of load, the computer turns off. Sometimes it restarts and sometimes I need to do it manually. Any help? I tink it might be the PSU but I am unsure!  It crashed on recroom, low specs, regular minecraft, 10 chunk render distance, Assetto corsa, Kart racing pro, KartKraft. PC Specs:

CPU: AMD FX 8350

GPU: MSI Nvidia GTX 970

RAM: 4x2 GB GDDR3

Motherboard: ASUS MSA99X EVO R2.0

Storage: 120GB HDD ( I dont know the brand )

PSU: OCZ Technology ( OCZ-CXS500W ) 500W PSU

I forgot, I also have 4 fans, of which also include the CPU cooler. The rest of my system runs at around 50 degrees celcius the entire time, and on MSI afterburner, it reaches around 350W in total, then it says in full capitals ' LIMIT ' Then it crashes a second or 2 later

Pretty sure it's the PSU not being able to reach peak loads. The OCZ used to be a good PSU, but you might need like 600W or more.

If you're going to upgrade PSU you can choose a higher wattage one, also be be more future proof.

It came altogether for £240 on ebay, pretty good as the graphics card is %203 quicker than my old laptop's 950m

Almost 10 years old, low quality, group regulated PSU. Not reliable anymore. Replace it!

Welp, I  used it one more time and something popped, smoke came from near my GPU :'C I opened up the window, turned off the power, unplugged it and left :I

I really do need to swap it out :C

You just got a computer and it came with a 10 year old PSU?

You need to take whoever you got that PC from to court.
