New PSU needed?

Im currently using a 650W EVGA SuperNOVA G3 on a system with a 5600x + RTX 3080  (which is overclocked and now can draw up to 450w max)

Do I need a new PSU? currently looking at an 850w Supernova G5

If it don't have issues you're fine.

 

G5 is not a good PSU. Take a look at the G6 when you want a new one. Or a model from an other brand. Corsair RMx, Fractal Design ION+ Platinum, Super Flower Leadex III Gold, Thermaltake GF1 of XPG Core Reactor for example.

The sustained power draw of your system would not exceed 650W, if this build works then you don't need a new PSU.
