Using desktop as file explorer

  1. open a folder on desktop
  2. desktop refreshes
  3. on the desktop are now the contents of the opened folder

 

Any help would be appreciated

Disclaimer: This might (will, probably) break things, and probably won't work entirely correctly...

You could hard link the folder in question to your Desktop directory.

what i thought was more like changing what appears on desktop to whatever was in the folder that i open

i dont this is a good idea. this might break things.

Or you can use something like this in the windows terminal: https://www.farmanager.com/download.php?l=en
