Fan Stopped Working

Hello everybody!

Today, as I pressed the start button on my PC, all the lights and fans turned on as usual but than suddenly (after 1 second or so...) it turned off. I pressed the start button again and the PC ran as usual but one fan is not spinning. It is an RGB fan and the lights are working, it is just not spinning. One maybe important information: after I pressed the start button for the first time, I plugged my keyboard in the front usb panel, as I am working on home office now and sharing the peripherals on both my working laptop and home PC.

So my question is, is the fan dead? What could be the reason for that? Is it dangerous to run the PC until I fix it (most probably replace the fan)?

Thanks a lot!

is the fan dead?

First of all, you can check if it's still connected. You can try to unplug it and plug it back in.
I don't know if it's dead, but you can find out. You can check the fan at a different fan connector or swap it with a working one.

It works now after reboot. I should have tried it as the first thing. Thanks anyway.
