MSI Afterburner is a great tool for overclocking graphics cards and then use MSI Kombuster to stress test them to make they are stable.

My rig: i5 2500k, MSI Z77A G45, Gainward GTX 980 Phantom, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, OCZ ZT series 750W PSU, 1TB HDD, 800D, fully water cooled. I am currently working on modding my HAF 912+ to fit a custom loop, here is the build log: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/165963-project-viridis-water-cooled-haf-912/

I've got my 780TI under water

Here is the results of my highest overclock. (1,430 MHz, 7,252 MHz)

I've got the Dual Classified Hydro, so it was a bit easier for me to get that high OC.  I flashed the modified skyn3t rev2 bios (the one with boost disabled) to the LN2 bios on my card in DOS. Then I used the GTX Classified Controller app to change my voltages, and changed the boost offsets in PrecisionX

For me, my memory wouldn't OC for sh*t. A lot of people with 780TI's have the issue. The first batches used Samsung memory, and then they switched to Hynix...which doesn't OC well.

That OC was done with 1.4V NVVDD (core), 1.62 FBVDD (mem), 1.05 PEXVDD (pcie), and 312kHz PWM Freq (power delivery)

My load temps didn't go above 50C, so I wasn't too worried about the high core voltage.

EDIT: You didn't say what kind of 780 TI you had...Either way I would start with the modified skyn3t bios, and I wouldn't exceed 1.3V on air, the stock voltage nVidia limits the card to is 1.212V. So any overclock at that voltage would be perfectly acceptable.

I have the EVGA 780ti superclocked version running stock cooling and without even trying to fine tune it I am at Core Clock 1346 Mhz and 7300 Mhz memory.

Basically i didnt try to min/max it out at all and achieved these results. I may just have a good overclocker though.

I used MSI Afterburner BTW.

Those are some excellent results, seems like you have a great card there, is it the reference cooler or the ACX?

Using the standard bios I was struggling to get over roughly 1150 Mhz core out of mine so I flashed to the skyn3t bios and using evga precision x I managed to get 1235 Mhz core and 7400 Mhz memory at 1.212v on my reference cooled card. I now run it at 1209 Mhz core at 1.187v using a custom fan profile to keep the temperatures a bit lower for daily use and I hope to get a waterblock on there soon so fingers crossed I can push it further then. I found that some games and benchmarks would let me push the card much higher but with those overclocks I got instability trying to play tomb raider so I was only happy when I knew it was 100% stable.

This thread was a huge help to me:
