I have been trying to put together a nice 1000$ PC that will be used primarily gaming and some video editing as well. This price must also include a monitor. What do you think about this?

Edit: oops, I forgot to add my motherboard to the list. One sec

Looks good but this psu is a better option and is cheaper

http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Builder-Series-Watt-CX500/dp/B0092ML0MY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1397333742&sr=8-3&keywords=psu

also get the cooler master t4 which is cheaper than the hyper 212 and the 6300 is a similar processor just overclock it. all these would prolly save you about $30 off that price and give the same if not better performance.

you could also switch the gpu for an r9 280x or gtx 770 and still be under $1000 so this budget can really get you a beast system.

the CX500 is what i have now, and it is a great PSU. The reason I chose the Antec is because this case does not  have ventilation for a PSU, and the antec one has a rear exhaust fan and not a bottom exhaust fan

then why dont you pull some parts from your current system so you can get a better overall system to deal with. if you're up for something like that then list the parts you have in your system right now.

This system is for my older brother.

Ok then found a way around your problem. http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-Source-210-ELITE-Midtower/dp/B005869J4O/ref=sr_1_29?ie=UTF8&qid=1397335246&sr=8-29&keywords=computer+case    That has vent for the cheaper psu and is also cheaper so more savings. If you go with me you might end up with enough money to buy a 780 or r9 290x lol   B).

Also for the monitor, there are better options at lower prices so you could shave some more money there as well and probably squeeze in a 780.

better monitors at lower prices? GL finding a good IPS cheaper than mine.
