Have you tried to run disk cleanup?

I did but the culprit didn't show up, although I managed to find and delete the file through ccleaner, I had given up decided to reset the pc but as a last attempt, I downloaded and ran ccleaner, the incomplete download file of forza horizon 5 was indeed still on the disk, hidden in the C:\Windows\WindowsApps\MSIXVC I believe, I was unable to access the folder even with admin access through file explorer , that's why I couldn't find the file when I tried earlier neither could I manually delete it, so I ran Ccleaner with admin access deleted the file through that. Thanks for your help tho

So my xbox app automatically decided to install forza horizon 5 without my permission and alloted about 140 GB of storage completely even while the game was still downloading, I cancelled the download BUT my storage is still allotted/consumed. I've got a 512 GB (457 GB usable) ssd, excluding my other apps and stuff, the free storage should have been 189 GB, but now it shows that I've got only 84.8 GB storage free, I've looked through most of the folders, unable to find the file hogging up my storage, even manually selecting all the folders and checking the properties in C: drive, my consumed space is about 226 GB, so the free storage should be 231 GB, even if I consider the hibernation files, virtual memory, reserved storage, it should be around 190 GB. I'm running windows 10 21H with the latest updates installed on a ryzen 5 4600h laptop with 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB Kingston SSD
