Hi,

Is anyone else facing BSOD on Windows 11 when the device is plugged in? My laptop crashes within minutes of plugging in. It boots back in but keeps crashing every few minutes untill its plugged in. But it is pretty stable on battey power. It's happening since Saturday and I don't know what is the cause behind it. I'm running a 8th gen intel i7.

Thanks.

It's the official upgrade. It meets all the system requirements.

So the laptop is a windows 10 laptop but you're attempting to run 11 on it. Are you using any first party/manufacturer drivers or just the generic ones from microsoft/amd/nvidia.

most if not all laptop hardware is proprietary and not universal so it would be common for example a generic battery driver to not actually be compatible with the hardware. The OEM would then wait for enough error reports to come in before acting upon the problem with a software fix.

Just the drivers provided via Windows update. Also, HP software support says all my drivers are up to date.

But the laptop was working fine after I updated it to Windows 11 two weeks ago. The issue started just recently on Saturday.

idk if windows 11 has system restore but try a system restore to a point before the issue started happening to see if its software based
