Is there ANYTHING I can do either it being re-fabrication, upgrading fans to more high speed fans, etc??? On a msi GF65 thin 10SDR! Games like coldwar run at around 80-90c on gpu! I have already done many things like removing bloatware and performance gains software wise and hardware I repasted cpu and gpu with grizzly and thermal pads I replaced. Also made sure heat sinks are clean and dust free!

Redo thermal paste, clean it out from dust regularly with compressed air and a brush (after opening it) and keeping it elevated on a surface with ventilation holes.

Other than that no. The gf65 is a laptop that is known to overheat straight from the factory it's why it's not recommended. Since you already did all of that nothing to do anymore enjoy your oven basically. Next time I advice you look more into it before purchasing.

Looks normal to me, the design of the heatsink is designed to take a certain heat load. Not much you can do to lower temperatures.

If you are using it as a desktop replacement, I will advise you get a vertical laptop stand and use it with external peripherals. (Monitor, mouse, keyboard, speaker, etc)

Vertical laptop stand will ensure the fans on your laptop will have access the freshest air. This option still allows you to bring your laptop to wherever if you liked.

Went Ahead and threw laptop onto 4 little 1 inch high pegs lifting laptop off of desktop, was further able to get temps down and out of the 80s gpu sitting around 70c and cpu sitting around 60c.

If you would be so kind to re read what I said, I had already done all those things! Also This laptop came out last year and I bought it just this year in February.

I did read it and you asked for what to do so I just said the 3 things you can do. Hence why I said "Since you already did all of that nothing to do anymore enjoy your oven basically." Referring to you saying you redid paste and cleaned.

Reload the page and reread that message. Also I don’t know why you are telling me to do thats I’m not even asking I’m not asking what are the basic ways of decreasing temps I’m asking what the ADVANCED options for cooling are!!!  Things like fabricating, cutting more slots in case, upgrading fans, attacking fans, etc just the most out of this world and the most stupidest looking but most efficient ways to cool I don’t care what it takes these temps were way to high!

Yeah the tiny feet of the msi are a big issue for it cooling well. You lifting it up helps it a ton. That combined with your high end thermal paste makes it cool well enough.

A cheap laptop stand with ventilation holes will also do the trick if you want something more sturdy. Fans on those stands basically do nothing so don't bother with that stuff.

Yea I have tried the KLIM ultimate cooling pad with the center 200mm 750RPM fan but it does nothing all it is, is just a RBG pad it didn’t even drop my temps not even by 1c have just sent this off today to return and currently have another one on the way and this one seems like it would do something as it’s not a regular cooling pad but a suction cooling pad or whatever this guy right here

will be here Sunday will give an update if this is efficient or not

I could care less how hot the heatsink gets, I just want to get my GPU and cpu temps down, coldwar was running at around 85-90c with cooler booster on (msi laptops max fan speed option) after repasting with grizzly paste and cleaning out fans with the wall of debree that had to of came from factory as now ever since my fans are blowing 2-3x as more air then when I first got this thing back in February this year. But now with cleared vents and new paste, temps are now at around 70 and 60 on cpu with computer an inch into the air and fans only at like 50-60% speed! But I want to test what temps are with new battlefield since that’s what made me want to figure out my high temps cause it was at a whopping 95-100c on gpu but got to wait 4 more days for that test. As for cooling pads/stands yea I have it on 4 1 inch pegs right now and that helped as for cooling pads them selfs read my post above for that information!

This is like all you need.

That cooling pad thing is probably going to be horrible.

But back to my original question is there Anything ADVANCED I can do to help with the temps even further? I already know and have done allowing the basic options of cooling!

Nope nothing more to do. Thermal paste replacement is the advanced option.
