Failed hard drive?

adiobe

Hey guys,

A few days ago windows tried a disk repair while booting.

Ever since I am unable to acces my D drive.

When I look into Disk management, it says that de drive needs to be initialised.

When I try to Initialise, it says: "Incorrect function"

I've tried a few disk recovery applications, but no succes since I can't even give the drive a disk letter.

Any help? I am a photographer and my Lightroom library from a wedding is on that disk (the photo's itself are luckily on another drive).

Thanks in advance!

Glenn

Could be an issue with the drive.

Tried plugging it into another SATA port? Tried putting it in another computer or external caddy? Is this a HDD or SSD?

I'll try another SATA port, I don't have any other computer sadly to try it on.

Oh it's an HDD.

Try downloading CrystalDiskInfo and see if it detects the drive. That may give more info about it.

Also how old is the drive?

I think if you initialise it will delete all data, so don't do that
