Is 75c-80c damaging my gpu?

Parzival120

So I just built my first pc and because of the shortage I couldn’t get any gpu without paying a price I don’t want so one of my family members lended me a gtx 460 I know it’s a bad card but it gets the job does ok but the thing is the simplest games (like muck for example) crank that thing to 100% utilization and when I looked at it’s temps it was at about 75c-80c.is that bad for it? And will that heat do anything bad to my motherboard because it’s connected to it?

Those temps are fine. Modern Nvidia GPUs are designed to run at 84C for their entire lives, and while yes heat is bad for components, 80c is well within the rated limits of these cards.

That said, you probably should repaste the GPU. It's ~10 years old, and if it's still on stock thermal paste and thermal pads, that can cause the temps to be higher than they should.
