Planning a server build

Other details upgradbility prefer ddr4 memory, dual cpu 

 

I'm looking to build a server for hosting games and as a home nas and media server I want it to be pretty powerful but I know powerful server equipment is even more expensive than normal pc parts so I plan to upgrade in time and start with some basic equipment the issue I have though is I have no idea what cpu sockets feature good upgradability I'd like to be able to start with something low to mid tier and get the server up then upgrade to some higher tier equipment later on as I want this to be a broad use server if possible does any one have suggestions
