some time ago i had an issue with rtx broadcast. While troubelshooting with nvidia support they sent me a programm called: CleanupTool. It removes all files, drivers and programms asociated with nivida. To my understanding its the same as ddu but from nvidia themself. Since you cant get to the download site without the right link and i didnt find anybody talking about it online here my question: Has anybody else heard of it? Should i upload it somewhere since nvidia probably doesnt want everybody to have it since it is not on their normal page?image.thumb.png.cebea5a1e475f845cb818e5d1b2589c4.png

My DDU alternative is clean install.  Or rather DDU is a faster alternative than clean install in some situations.  The problem isn’t Nvidia or AMD, it’s the way wizards work.  They’re just an inferior way to do things. Nvidia cleanup tool is inferior to DDU simply because it only does Nvidia. It would have to be massively easier to use to even coming close to breaking even.  They’re both free, so the price is the same.  I don’t install stuff often enough myself to make DDU or really anything but clean install a worthwhile option though. Clean install doesn’t just do video drivers.  It does everything.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

And that's assuming it does Nvidia as well and as thorough as DDU.

Unless someone picks this program apart or does some testing, DDU is freely available to everyone as it always has been and is proven to do what it says its supposed to do so why bother with anything else.
