newly built pc

I built my pc & pretty sure i connected where i was supposed to. powers on, fans work, leds work, motherboard powers up. everything seems to power on, but my mouse & keyboard doesn’t, no signal shows on the monitor, can power on the pc with the button but cant power off with the button, & it shows a red light next to the label cpu on the board, i have a 5 1600 on a msi b450 gaming plus with 16gb of ram, please help.
