Speaker recommendations please.

I have an amazon basic active speakers like these that are USB powered and they are starting to go out despite being kept at a low volume... so I'm trying to find some new speakers that are actual decent quality and will last longer.

They will be plugged in to a M2 Moto so i'm not sure if they can be passive or need to be active. The speakers I'm using now are a LOT quieter when pulled in to the M2 moto than directly in to the computer, but they are also clearly poor quality speakers.

 

I don't need anything fancy... in fact these speakers look like they would do, but they are passive and don't have a RCA or 1/8 or 1/4 phone jack connection. So I would have to probably chop off one end of an RCA cord or something.

No, you can't use those speakers without an amplifer, you can't just chop off the cable ends lol.

 

What is you budget? There is a whole world of desktop powered monitor speakers that would be great for a running from that Moto's RCA outputs. 

 

Something like this would be a huge upgrade if ~$100 is your budget.

I currently use these and love them. Super compact and punch way above their weight.

I've heard a lot of good things about these, but I guess it depends on what your budget is.

These are a bit more pricey than I was hoping.... but as old people say: "You get what you pay for."
