RX 6800 Black Screen Problem

So I got this 6800 not to horribly long ago and it worked great at first, but then I had some storage problems and had to restart the whole computer and the first thing I notice is my screen goes black and comes back on when in fullscreen on games. I thought it was a fluke and turned all games I played to windowed mode. After a while I got sick of windowed mode and tried fullscreen mode again, but it had gotten worst now it just backscreens no flickers. So I windowed it for a while longer thinking of different solutions looking at what others had done to solve this recurring problem. I had found someone with a decent solution of mabey I had the DP cord in the wrong slot on the card. I switched it and it appeared to work, but the next day I got on it black screened on me so i unplugged and replugged the DP cord and it fixed it's self; and that's what I've been doing for a couple weeks now. So can someone help me or validate a solution that requires some sort of restart of the computer because frankly I don't want to have to reinstall everything again.
