so i recently got a broken laptop with a fried gpu. so i pulled it apart and noticed that the failure happened on some gpu memory power inductors, and my pretty sure that side of the memory chips is fried. when i managed to get it outputting to the integrated screen and installed windows, i was running the intel hd 630 graphics, but the system also detected the 1060 inside, but with only 3gb of ram, as half the chips were no longer powered. my question is if i could modify the gpu bios with a 3gb model one, so i could still use the 1060 chip in my laptop.

sys. specs:

acer predator helios 300

intel core i7-8750h 6 core 12 thread

16 gb ddr4 memory

256gb nvme drive

gtx 1060 6gb (busted)
