I just got a really good deal on a dell precision t3600. It was the 635W model so I decided to upgrade it into a decent starter pc for my brother to play games on. I already had some ddr3 1600mhz laying around and my old gtx 780 ti. I just need helping upgrading the cpu. The cpu is currently a xeon e5 1620, and after some research I'm still not sure if I can upgrade the cpu to an e5 1600 v2 series or not. Does anyone here know if Ivy Bridge-EP (Xeon E5 v2) cpus are compatible with Sandy Bridge-EP (Xeon E5) motherboards.
