I've ordered A computer with a b550-f Asus Rog strix motherboard, ryzen 5900x, pcie gen 4 nvme and a 3060 graphics card.  As I understand it this should all be fine, however I have a little confusion over how the pcie lanes work on this board as I think only the top gpu slot uses 4.0 which is fine for my purposes but is it possible to use a second graphics card(1050ti), second (this time gen 3) nvme and a wireless adapter card  as well or is there not enough lanes to support this? If anyone has any advice or comments on this it would be much appreciated

im not sure how it goes but someone can correct me that if you have more than 1 pcie card itll lower the bandwith and split it be tween eachother meaning instead of you;re gpu having x16 itll have x8 lanes which if you were gaming it would lower the fps quite a bit

Main:

  • CPU
    10700k 5ghz All core 47 ring ratio 1.275v
  • Motherboard
    MSI Z590 A Pro
  • RAM
4x8 viper steel samsung bdie: 4200-17-17-30
  • GPU
    Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming Oc
  • Case
    O11 air mini
  • Storage
    970 Evo Plus 500gb OS, Sn550 1tb, 860 evo 500gb, 2tb MX500
  • PSU
    RM750x (2018)
  • Display(s)
    Acer Nitro vg272up, Kogan 24 1080 120hz
  • Cooling
arctic 280aio, EK M.2 NVMe Heatsink on 970 evo plus

    Second:
    Cpu: i5-8400
    Cooling: ID-Cooling Frostflow 120x
Ram: 2x8gb 2666 c16 hyperx fury, tuned the absolute balls out of it but def not stehble.
    Mobo: Asus Prime H310M-K
    Gpu: Igpu

It's fine for the 3060 as it only needs 8*pcie gen4, the issue is that I'm not sure if it does split to the second slot or not on this particular motherboard -and if it doesn't whether it has enough chipset lanes to do what I want

your mobo will support that

Only one of the pcie slots supports gen 4 so I'm honestly not certain that it does on this occasion

actually you're mobos gen 4 x16 slot is used by cpu and the other 2 3rd gen is powered by the mobo chipset so you can use full gen 4 x16 on you're gpu and split the 1050 ti and wifi card with the mobo
