AMD ramdisk-like app for OS X?

Hello,

 

I recently watched Linus's review on using a ram disk created by AMD ramdisk app, and I found that it does not support OS X platform.

 

Is there any app for OS X that does what AMD ramdisk app does? THAT IS, IS THERE ANY APP FOR OS X THAT LOADS OS AND OTHER INSTALLED PROGRAMS TO THE RAM ON BOOT? (And equally importantly, has an option to NOT load the modified/download data in the RAM to the permanent drive on shutdown).

I don't think there is such a thing for OS X.

Thanks, but I don't think this is a solution that I am looking for. I was expecting an app that upon each boot, loads the data, including the OS to the ram disk and boot to that disk...
