Budget (including currency): 1000 euro

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 

1- The server will host a kubernetes cluster with these projects:

- nextcloud server (high importance)

- database server  (high importance)

- homeassistant server (medium importance)

- mycroft server (low importance)

- media server (nice to have)

- mqtt broker (nice to have)

- small web server to host my website (its basically a static html file with some pdfs) (nice to have)

ps: any persistance storage will be on the nas and/or raid solution

2- I want a (up to 8tb) storage nas 

- have the kubernetes persistant volumes pathed to it

- make it a backup solution to my linux computer (timeshift)

- make it a backup solution to my So's windows computer (not sure how yet)

Other details:

I would like to buy this server within the next year, 

also pay attention to the priorities for now I only want the (high importance) any other priorities i can get within my budget is cool 

Last thing I want it to be upgradable so i can eventually run all the projects on it

 

Here are some of the ieas of i have:

- NUC server with bare metal kube node

- NUC server with vms for multiple kube nodes

- other kind of server that i dont yet know about

- multiple raspberry pi 4 as bare metal nodes

- for storage a synology nas
