my friend have quite old laptop with prosesor Intel i3-7200u with 4gb ram, then i suggestion him to increase ram laptop with added 4gb ram to get smooth experience, he accept my suggestion. The problem is, after he increase ram laptop, his laptop always got blue screen every 2 hours, is this because his ram not compatible with his laptop? but he got same size ram, 4gb ddr 2133.

it might not be the speed or the size, if the ram isn't certified. what make and model?

it's rare that laptop ram isn't compatible but it can still happen

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

I'm not sure, but according to your story I think the RAM is mixed. Are they 2x 4GB RAM sticks? Are they both 2133mhz? And are they different brands or speeds?

If it's mixed, then he should have 2 times 4GB RAM of the same brand and speed, preferably the same set from factory.

The RAM could not mix well together then. I also suggest trying the new stick just by itself and then run something like memtest to see if the memory is working properly and stable. It should work together normally if the BIOS settings are correct and it's standard at 2133mhz, it should be detected by itself.
