They are but I'd like to go with something cheaper.

My advice would be - suffer the messy case for a while, save up for a good aftermarket solution. Then buy from a brand that's knowns to have good products. Because one thing you do not want to cheap out on are cables.

I know there are other reputable brands just that it's hard finding their version of the product and I live in Canada do shipping and currency conversion factors in for CableMod

if there's anyhere that has a 3x 8 pin to to 24 pin gpu extention cable?

Don't use extensions.  If you want better cables, you buy replacement cables.

You get what you pay for.

You know what corners are cut for "cheaper" cables?

I know what it's like to blow over $1K on a graphics card and not have money left over for other things, but you're just asking for problems with what you're looking for.

Why are cable extensions bad? Isn't modular cable, in a way, cable extension too?

Longer cable, lower voltage. That's the problem.

Electrons colliding with ions in the wire.  More wire, more ions, more resistance.  More resistance, lower voltage (as @--SID-- points out).  Not to mention the added mating connector to do the extension and the resistance that adds.

Don't use extensions with Nvidia RTX 3000. I've seen a lot of issues with that. Better to use modulair replacement cables. What's the make and model of your PSU?

Leadex 3 gold 850w. Also the extension in question was going to only an extra20cm. I dunno however long it needs to hide the pcie cables under the p500a shroud
