Hi,

this will be my first build so I want it to be relatively easy to build in, in the windows vm I won’t be using it for gaming and I will just use the onboard graphics to run it, the vm will be used for work like teams, one note, and some coding as a hobby. The server would be used as just a little family server for photos etc and a few laptop back ups, mabye also a media server aswell. I have created a pcparkpicker list, the mobo is at £200 but I don’t know the final price cause it says currently unavailable on the Amazon page but it’s alright because I’m going to order everything around Christmas, I have given my self some breathing space on the budget because the prices normally go up in Christmas times.

thanks 👍

edit: I forget to tell you that I’m running a 2017 MacBook Pro 13” and a Surface go 2

Lmfao why the hell do you have rgb on your server xD

Where are you gonna put it anyways cause if you turn off the lights at night that rgb is still gonna be on so thats gonna be a real pain in the ass if you put it in a bedroom

Oh yea and that board is an overpriced pos, much better options out there that match or beat that nzxt board

Maybe something like this?

Upgraded to 11700 (k version is 20£ more but dont bother)

Ditched corsair and went for a cheaper alternative the forge 100r so you dont need to add any extra fans

Psu is a 500w but that should be more than enough if you are just using igpu

If igpu is abit slow overclock your ram as high as it will go and overclock the igpu via xtu or bios
